Missing or Duplicated Lines of Text (WP)

Sometimes, this occurs when a word processing document that was created on one computer is opened on another computer.

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.

In ClarisWorks word processing documents, lines of text at the bottom of a page may seem to have disappeared; or to have been duplicated, appearing at the bottom of the page and again at the top of the following page. This occurs, sometimes, when a word processing document that was created on one computer is opened on another computer. This is the result of ClarisWorks incorrectly determining the flow of text from one page to another. It can be corrected by procedures which cause the document to be repaginated. The quickest of these is to simply click on the menu bar icon to change line spacing and immediately change it back to the original setting.
