Ungroup Windows Metafile (*.wmf) Loses Color in ClarisWorks for Macintosh

Bringing a file from ClarisWorks 1.0 for WIndows loses color in ClarisWorks for Macintosh when saving a Windows Metafile (*.wmf) as a graphics document (*.cwk).

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.

After running through DOS to Macintosh conversion and opening in ClarisWorks for the Macintosh the picture comes across as one grouped picture. If you ungroup this picture the color tends to be lost on 90% of the picture.

Work around: Before saving the document in Windows ungroup the entire picture and then save. When converted and opened in ClarisWorks for the Macintosh the picture will open ungrouped. The graphic can then be altered or grouped without any color loss.
