Editing Palette Colors DoesnÕt Work Properly

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
In ClarisDraw 1.0, if you try to edit colors in paint mode with the paint frame set to a color depth of thousands or millions of colors, you will see the wrong color in the editor. It also corrupts the 168-color palette after exiting paint mode (colors show up as black).

To reproduce:

1. Launch ClarisDraw.
2. Create a paint frame and tear off the fill color palette.
3. Select Resolution & Depth, select thousands or millions, and click OK.
4. Double-click a color in the middle of the palette.

Notice the color previewed is not the color you double-clicked.

5. Change its hue and brightness dramatically. Click OK.
6. Press Enter to exit paint mode.

Notice the color palette is corrupted and shows 256 colors even though the palette should still be the default 168.

The Claris graphics development team is aware of the issue.
