Q: MacDraw Pro says that my document has been updated while I was working on it. What does that mean?

A: This is a feature of the product. MacDraw Pro allows you to open more than one copy of a document so that you can edit different versions, or so more than one person on a network can edit the file at once.

If two copies of a file are open, changes are made to one file, then it is saved and closed, as soon as you try to save the other file you will see this alert:

This document has been updated while you worked on it. Do you still want to save your changes?

You are given the option of saving your changes to the current file, performing a "Save As" so that you can save your changes to different file, or canceling the save altogether.

ClarisDraw does not offer this feature.
