This is fixed in ClarisWorks 1.0v2

Q: I don't see any difference between the ClarisWorks documents I print on my ImageWriter in "Faster" and "Best" modes. Shouldn't documents printed in the Best mode look significantly better than those printed in Faster mode?

A: Certainly there should be a difference in your output, but version 1.0 of ClarisWorks could only produce "Faster" and "Draft" quality, not "Best" quality output on an ImageWriter. In addition, any other application you run after printing from ClarisWorks may behave in the same way until you restart the computer or change printers in the Chooser.

We resolved this problem with the release of ClarisWorks 1.0v2, which lets you print "Best" or "Draft" quality output (but not "Faster" output) on the ImageWriter. We're working on offering all three levels of output in future versions of ClarisWorks. [Ed: "Best" quality printing is more attractive than "Faster" quality. However, "Best" quality requires two passes of the printhead to print each line and is much slower than "Faster" quality output.
