ClarisWorks: Gradebook Template in ClarisWorks for Teachers

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
Chapter 3 of the ClarisWorks for Teachers book covers the usage of a template called Gradebook. The Gradebook template does not work whenever a student scores 100% in the Grade Percentage column (column D). Instead of "A+" showing as the grade "#N/A!" will be the answer.

Make a backup of your Gradebook file before starting the steps to fix your file listed below. Also, the steps below assume you have not modified the original template so make any changes to the directions as apply to your modified Gradebook file.

1. Go to the Format menu and choose Document. Change the number of columns from 40 to 41.
2. In cell AO4 enter "100" and in AO5 enter "A+".
3. In cell E7 change the cell references for $AN$4 to $AO$4 and $AN$5 to $AO$5 so that formula now reads, =LOOKUP(D7,$AB$4..$AO$4,$AB$5..$AO$5).
4. Select cell E7 through E30 and then choose Fill Down from the Calculate menu.
