ClarisWorks: Spreadsheet Borders Print Thicker after First Page on DeskWriter

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
This issue is resolved with ClarisWorks 4.0v1
(tested with DeskWriter 550C and DeskWriter driver 6.0)

Normally, cell borders print as hairlines to a Hewlett-Packard DeskWriter. ClarisWorks 2.1v3, 2.1v4 and version 3.0 spreadsheets will print borders as hairlines on the first page of a print job, but all subsequent pages will print with very thick border lines.

Workarounds:
1. Revert to ClarisWorks 2.1v2 or earlier or upgrade to version 4
2. Print your pages one at a time. The thicker lines only occur on the second and subsequent pages of a print job.

This printing issue has been tested with the DeskWriter driver versions 3.9, 5.0 and 6.0.
