It has been reported that some of the Clip Art which ships with ClarisWorks 3.0v1 may not print properly to a DeskWriter. For example, the Champagne clipart will print partially, but not the stems of the glasses or the color fill.
Suggested workaround:
Select the graphic and choose Ungroup (or Ungroup Picture) from the Arrange menu.
Please note that an inline graphic in a Word Processing document cannot be ungrouped. To paste a graphic on the Drawing Layer of a Word Processing document (so that it does not flow with the text, but does allow you use the Text Wrap feature and allows you to ungroup it), click on the Arrow tool in the toolbar before Copying and Pasting or Inserting the graphic.
Even after ungrouping before printing, there are still 7 clip art images that print out incorrectly:
Alder B&W, Book1 (open) B&W, Christmas Tree, Fragile B&W, Horse B&W, Palm Tree, and Shapeburst 2 B&W.
The ClarisWorks 3.0v1 clip art will not print correctly to a DeskWriter when placed into either ClarisDraw or ClarisImpact. To print ClarisWorks 3.0 clip art from these products, use the same workaround of ungrouping the graphic before printing.
These reports, which have been reproduced here are reproducible to the DeskWriter 550C and the 560C, tried with drivers 5.0 and 6.0, and also tried with ClarisWorks 2.1v3 and 3.0. Saving as PICT and allocating more memory to ClarisWorks will not affect the printing.
