Box Characters Printing That Don‘t Show on Screen

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
Box characters print that don't appear on screen. This can happen if you type the forward delete key on the extended keyboard, which is below the Help key. MacDraw II does not support the forward delete key. If you type the forward delete key, instead of deleting the key in front of the cursor, MacDraw II adds the ASCII character for the forward delete key to the text block. This character does not add any space and does not show up on screen. To delete these characters, click in the word to the right of the characters. Press the left arrow (cursor) key so that the cursor is just to the left of the word. Then press the regular delete key until the characters are gone.
