There is an undocumented way to get a single field into a layout multiple times in a ClarisWorks database. This may come in handy if you are nearing the 255 field limit, and would like to eliminate calculations that only mirror another data entry field. Follow these steps and you will be able to insert the field as many times as you need.
1. In layout mode drag the field you would like inserted a second time up to the TOP of the layout, so that the field is partially off the top of the layout.
2.Go to the layout menu and choose Insert Field. You should see the field that has been dragged partially off the layout is now available to insert.
3. Highlight the field and choose Insert.
4. Drag the original of the field back down on to the layout.
Warnings:
The last occurrence (the one inserted last) will be the only one in which you may do data entry.
The other occurrences of the field will not show the information entered until a new record is created, or until you toggle Page View and will not be editable.
