ClarisImpact 2.0 adds a new option in the print dialog, 'Fit Document to One Page.' This option is available only in drawings; it will be grayed out on report (word processing) documents. The purpose of the 'Fit Document to One Page' checkbox is to give a snapshot view of the entire document. It fits the entire document (including white space) to one page, as opposed to fitting the graphic or model to one page.
Example
An organization chart model in a drawing document is set to print in landscape mode, but the organization chart spills over onto the second page to the right by approximately 3 inches. If this document is printed with the 'Fit Document to One Page' option checked, the organization chart prints on one page, but it is considerably reduced and has sizable white space to the right and below the chart.
If there are blank pages or extra blank space in the document, the white space will be even larger, and the graphic smaller. To remove blank pages, choose Document from the Layout menu. Using your mouse pointer, resize the number of pages with the document size box or manually type the number of pages for the document.
To print the organization chart so that it fills one page, consider these options:
1. Resize the model by clicking the selection handles and dragging until the graphic fits on one page.
2. When printing from a Macintosh, you can choose Page Setup from the File menu and reduce the image to less than 100 percent. The reduction option is, unfortunately, not available when printing from Windows 95.
