Most Global Village modems do not need a specific tool other than the Apple Modem Tool.  That includes the 1XX series of the PowerPort modem.  The Duo and 500 series will normally use a 500/Duo tool, which is installed when GlobalFax 2.5 is first installed.<BR>

Global Village's modems generally require the same basic initialization string, (AT&amp;F1). Here is a list of most of the current and discontinued Global Village modems and their exceptions:<BR>
