Error message : "Sorry the ASCII translator is not responding properly"

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
This error message is returned when importing a text file into a ClarisWorks word processing document if a Claris XTND system file 1.3 is found by ClarisWorks in the System folder as well as in the Claris folder .

To correct the issue, remove the Claris XTND file from the System folder.
