PowerBooks Using PCMCIA Modem Cards

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
Many PowerBook models have PCMCIA card slots that can accommodate a network card, modem card or a combination of the two. When users of these PowerBooks use a PCMCIA card for their modem they will have to use the modem tool that shipped with the modem when setting up their settings in Claris Emailer or any other Claris product that can dial through a modem. (See figure 1) The other alternative for these PowerBooks is to use the Printer/Modem port selection with an external modem.
