Setting a Default Color Palette in ClarisImpact 2.0

The documentation for ClarisImpact 2.0 Macintosh [page 3-21] for setting a default palette is incorrect. The correct procedure is detailed below.

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.

The documentation of ClarisImpact 2.0 gives incorrect information on how to select a default color or gradient palette for the application.

The documentation instructs you to Choose Colors and Gradients from the Layout menu, and Click Make Default.

There is no Make Default button.

The correct procedure is to Choose Colors and Gradients from the Layout menu, Click Open and select an alternative palette, Click OK. Then, Choose Save As from the File menu, Select ClarisImpact Options from the pop-up menu. Click Save.

This creates a new ClarisImpact Options document which the application uses as a template for creating new documents. The Options document stores color palette information.
