Claris Organizer 2.0v2, while running on Mac OS 8, displays two Help menus side-by-side.
The left-most Help menu is actually the Claris Organizer Help menu that is specific to Claris Organizer, such as:
Contents...
Search Index for...
Tips...
Ten Minute Tour...
The right-most Help menu is the Mac OS Help menu, containing items such as:
Balloon Help, Help Topics, as well as the contents of the other Help menu.
Both menus are active and fully functional. Besides the odd appearance of two Help menus, there are no other known oddities specific to Mac OS 8 and Claris Organizer 2.0.
This is a cosmetic problem. The menus do work correctly.
From the Mac OS 8 Read Me file:
"Unusual or inconsistent appearance
Some applications will exhibit unusual or inconsistent cosmetic anomalies when used with Mac OS 8. These are harmless, but if they bother you turn off the system-wide setting in the Appearance control panel. Contact the manufacturer of the program to see if an updated version of the program is available."
At this time there is no update to Claris Organizer 2.0 that fixes this problem, and no update is planned.
