On some Windows machines, with newer video cards, the line width menu shows only the 1 pt. line. All other point widths show their number, but not the visual line.
If set to one point, a line drawn in your Claris application will display correctly. However, if it is set to any other point size, the line will disappear; the only thing you will see is the selection handles on the document.
To fix this problem, you need to reduce the graphics acceleration for your video card.
Follow these steps:
1] Go to the System properties -- right-mouse click on My Computer and choose Properties, or click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, and find the System control panel.
2] Choose the Performance tab. Click on the Graphics button. Slide the indicator from Full acceleration down to None. Restart your machine.
Note: You may have other applications in your system that need some of the capabilities of your accelerated video card. In that case, you will need to experiment with the acceleration setting and figure out the least possible setting that your other applications will work in and that the specific Claris application needs to have to display all line width menu selections.
