Final Cut Pro 1.2.1: Audio Blast at End of Video Clip

When capturing clips with Final Cut Pro 1.2.1 and Mac OS 8.6 with QuickTime 4.1 (or later), an audio blast will occur at the end of the clip. To resolve this behavior, use one of these two possible workarounds:

• Preferably, upgrade to Mac OS 9.0 or later (Final Cut Pro 1.2.5 will require Mac OS 9.0 or later)
• If this is not possible, install QuickTime 4.0.3 available at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/support/68k/

Note: In order to install QuickTime 4.0.3 over QuickTime 4.1 or later, you must follow these steps:

1. Remove all QuickTime extensions and control panels from their respective folders.

2. Restart the computer.

3. After restarting, install QuickTime 4.0.3.
