Macintosh: "Problem With Target Device. Error Code -7932" Alert

You should choose a slower burn speed if an alert box with a -7932 error message appears.
Symptom

When you try to burn a CD an alert box with this error message appears:

Solution

This alert may appear if you are using media of marginal quality, or if you have a slower CD-R drive set to burn at maximum speed.

Try a different kind of disc, or a different brand or manufacturer of disc.

In iTunes, set the burn speed to something lower than the maximum setting, for example 4X or 6X.

If using CD-RW discs, only use CD-RW discs that are rated from 1x to 4x speed. The CD-RW drive in your computer cannot write to High Speed CD-RW discs (4x to 10x speed). Although the drive cannot write to High Speed CD-RW discs, it can read them.
