Note: This article pertains to Mac OS X Server versions 1.x, which were released prior to May 2001.
To move a NetBoot server to a new location with a different network:
1. Delete all computers with name "macnc***" in Network Manager.
2. Delete all users "macnc***" from group g105 in Network Manager. You could also delete all the shadow images but this is not needed.
3. Open Network preferences and change TCP/IP settings for all cards as needed, and global settings.
4. Select BOOTP from the popup menu and change settings for all cards as needed.
5. Select AppleTalk from the popup menu and make changes as needed.
6. Restart the server computer.
7. If using Macintosh Manager, the netboot image must be updated to select the new server. Use NetBoot Desktop Admin to boot a client in private (persistent) mode, select the new server and save the images.
Use Macintosh Manager to edit Macintosh Management Server data.
