- Make sure the server is turned on.
- Check that one end of the Ethernet cable is plugged into the Ethernet port on the computer and the other end is plugged into a working Ethernet connector.
- Make sure the hard disk is working properly.
- Check Network configurations. See if the system can access devices or services on the network.
- Make sure the appropriate server processes are running.
- Restart the server.
- Use ProcessViewer to see what's working.
- If you've exhausted all solutions, you may need to reinstall Mac OS X Server or NetBoot server software. With Mac OS X Server 1.2 v3 or earlier, if you reinstall server software you will lose documents and data. If you have backed up your server, you can restore the data you backed up.
- For Mac OS X Server 10.0.3 check the logs via the log viewer or the in the Console.
