Mac OS 8: ObjectSupportLib Part of System File

What is ObjectSupportLib and when do I need it?
ObjectSupportLib is a library developers use to implement the Open Scripting Architecture (OSA) object model. For example, how to refer to a word of a paragraph of a document.

As of Mac OS 8.0, the ObjectSupportLib extension is part of the System file. Although some applications may install it as a separate extension, it is not needed and can be safely removed without a loss of functionality.
