Sherlock in Mac OS 8.6 has a number of enhancements:

Search Internet

• Panel is now resizeable so you can easily see all available search sites
• The new Uncheck All button allows you to quickly deselect search sites.
• Improved ability to search behind firewalls, including SOCKS and authenticated proxy servers.

Find by Content

• Allows indexing and searching of PDF and HTML files.
• Can index or search items with a specific label
• Can index the contents of a specific folder (instead of the whole disk) using the contextual menu:
