You cannot encrypt the following items:
- Open files - Open files cannot be encrypted. Quit the application that has opened the file.
- Folders - Only files can be encrypted, not folders.
- Disks or Discs - Only files can be encrypted, not disks or discs.
- The Trash Can
- Files that have already been encrypted
