The default filter list blocks all access to your server. You can change the filter list by adding, changing, duplicating, or deleting filters.
Note: If you add or change a filter after turning on TCP filtering, it does not affect connections already established with the server. For example, if you deny all access to your Web site, computers already connected to your Web site are not disconnected.
To edit the filter list:1. Open the Apple menu and choose AppleShare IP Admin, then choose TCP Filter Admin from the submenu.
2. Click the Add button, or select a filter and click the Edit, Duplicate, or Delete button. If you are deleting a filter, you're finished. Otherwise continue with step 3.
3. Select the type of access (Allow or Deny).
4. Select a port by typing the number in the Ports box or choosing it from the pop-up menu.
5. Type an IP address or range in the box, or click Find and enter a domain name.
If you click Find, the search returns one IP address in that domain. You can then use asterisks to define a range of addresses based on the sample address.
If an IP address search is taking a long time:
You may have entered an invalid domain name, or the network may be busy. Check the name and try again.
