Final Cut Pro: Stops Responding When Certain Effects Are Used

Symptom

Final Cut Pro stops responding, or "freezes," when the Dither Dissolve transition or the Noise generator are used.


Solution

• Do not use the Dither Dissolve transition or the Noise generator effects.
• Use a different model Macintosh computer to apply these effects in your project.
