Canon ZR10
Using Assemble Edit to print Final Cut Pro 1.2.5 projects to tapes that have been continually used and worn may contain audio drops. If you experience this problem, use a new tape.

Panasonic PV-DV100
This camera also needs the DV Tuner 1 and CMP Override Scripts to optimize device control over FireWire with Final Cut Pro 1.2.5. These are included with Final Cut Pro 1.2.5 installer and updater. Once installed, locate the folder called "Extras" and you will find "DV Tuner 1" and "CMP Override". Drag these two files into the Final Cut Pro Plugins folder before launching Final Cut Pro. Sony DCR-TRV7
When batch capturing clips widely separated by timecode, you may receive an incorrect error message stating that Final Cut Pro was "...unable to find timecode..." Individually capture clips separated by 3 minutes or more when using this camera.

Sony DSR-11
If the deck is switched from NTSC to PAL (or vice versa) while importing into Final Cut Pro, you must restart the computer to reset the FireWire bus for the signal change to be recognized.

Sony DVMC-DA1
The Sony DVMC-DA1 is no longer available from Sony but is supported for Final Cut Pro 1.2.5.

Sony DVMC-DA2
If your device is only equipped with the LANC device control connection, LANC will not transmit timecode to Final Cut Pro. However, you may use the media converter functions to convert video for transmit over FireWire. Device control will be available when using LANC however, timecode will be omitted preventing usage of such functions as, Batch Capture, and Capture Clip. These functions require a timecode reference to operate.

Aurora Video Systems Igniter
You must use version 1.2 of the Igniter driver with Final Cut Pro. Onscreen VGA video playback may suffer slightly in certain situations, especially with high data rates. Setting your display color depth to thousands instead of millions, setting the Igniter playback preview size to quarter, or setting Playback Preview mode to Computer Only will all help increase the onscreen playback performance. Additionally, the Igniter card supports –10dBu audio. If you are using +4dBu audio, you must use a mixer or an inline pad to adjust the incoming audio levels. The Analog Upgrade card for the Igniter supports +4dBu audio. The Igniter uses a compression ratio of 1.5:1 at its best setting. Data rates can vary due to the nature of the material being captured..

Digital Voodoo D1 Desktop 64 AV
Version 4.8.1 of the D1 Desktop driver has been qualified. The D1 Desktop Firmware revision 26 has been qualified. 10 Bit data rates are about 26.7 Megabytes/second and require a robust disk drive subsystem. Due to high data rates, 10 Bit sequences with upwards of 8 tracks of audio may require a mix-down of audio tracks for final playback.

DC30Plus
Video play back on the Mac monitor is not a true representation of the video quality. In order to see the actual video quality, video must be played out to a television or NTSC monitor.

Make sure you are using a video card capable of overlay (for example, ATI RagePro.) Set your Monitor to Thousands of Colors and Final Cut Pro View size windows to 50 percent, this will improve playback on the VGA monitor. Try reducing the Overlay size using the DC30plus control panel, set to very small or small if overlay is not updating the window correctly.

Optimal performance with Final Cut Pro is video frame size at 640 by 480 NTSC. Earlier versions of DC30plus capture cards are not able to handle +4dBu from Professional sources. A mixer may be used to adjust the levels between the source and DC30plus card.

NewerTechnolgy – FireWire 2 Go
If you are using Final Cut Pro on a PowerBook G3, turn off all "Energy Saver" settings while using FireWire Out/In for DV capture and playback in Final Cut Pro.

Panasonic AJ-D250
The AJ-D250 requires a software upgrade to support the optional FireWire (IEEE 1394) interface. All VTRs shipped after 2000-09 include this software upgrade. If you have an older deck, Panasonic will update the software for a flat fee of 150 USD at an authorized service center. Please contact Panasonic for additional details.

Pinnacle Systems TARGA Ciné engine
To better handle the high data rate requirements of uncompressed video, set the size of the Final Cut Pro Canvas and Viewer windows to less than 95 percent on slower computers.

Pinnacle Systems TARGA 2000 SDX Studio
TARGA 2000 SDX Real-Time and Accelerated effects are not enabled in Final Cut Pro. This capture card requires TARGA 3.1.1 drivers to perform correctly.

Pinnacle Systems TARGA 2000 DTX
This card requires TARGA 3.1.1 drivers to perform correctly.

RATOC Systems CBFW2 FireWire CardBus
Turn off all "Energy Saver" settings while using FireWire Out/In for DV capture and playback in Final Cut Pro. We recommended not using the PowerBook Sleep function while using Final Cut Pro. CBFW2 card is to be used with the PowerBook G3.

Sony DSR-40
All Edit to Tape functions must be used with Apple FireWire device control protocol.

When using Black and Code, the deck will cue to PAUSE mode. You must hit stop manually on the deck to start Black and Code. Black and Code will start automatically.

Sony GV-D300
Sony GV-D900
Sony PC-10
Sony TRV-7
