The Apple II Memory Expansion Card does not function as Apple IIGS RAM. The
card appears as a volume on your desktop; the volume name refers to the slot
the card's in e.g., slot four = '/RAM4'. You should be able to format and
rename as well as write to the memory card as a standard ProDOS volume.
To increase performance, the Apple IIGS's DeskTop program does recognize
the Apple II Memory Expansion card and loads itself into the RAM card.
