Enhanced Chapter Marker Feature
In addition to letting users set and move chapter markers in DVD Studio Pro, DVD Studio Pro 1.5 translates markers placed in Final Cut Pro 3.0.2 and later as DVD chapter markers. This simplifies the process of creating DVD chapter markers and ensures frame-accurate placement. There must be at least one second between chapter and compression markers or they will be ignored. When creating multi-angle material, you must place chapter and compression markers in exactly the same locations for all of the streams to be compatible. Chapter and compression markers only work with non-drop frame (NDF) timecode.

To insert chapter and compression markers in Final Cut Pro 3.0.2 and later projects:
- 1. In the Timeline, place the playhead exactly where you want to place the marker.
2. Press the M key twice to open the Edit Marker dialog.
3. Type a name for your marker. This name will be preserved when you bring the resulting MPEG-2 stream into DVD Studio Pro 1.5.
4. Click either Add Chapter Marker or Add Compression Marker. If you add a chapter marker, DVD Studio Pro 1.5 adds a chapter marker to the resulting MPEG-2 stream. If you add a compression marker, DVD Studio Pro 1.5 forces an I-frame (a video frame with no temporal compression) at the marker point, but does not add a chapter marker.
5. Click OK.
6. Repeat as needed. You can add as many as 99 chapter markers to each video stream.
7. When you have finished adding markers and are ready to export your finished project to the MPEG-2 format, choose Export from the File menu, then choose QuickTime Movie from the submenu.
8. Select MPEG-2 as the file type in the Export dialog. You can adjust the bit rate and other settings of the video by clicking Options. When you import the resulting MPEG-2 stream into DVD Studio Pro 1.5, it will have the chapter markers embedded within it.
