Disc Recording Update 1.3.4 allows iTunes and the Finder to burn CD-R disc using the FireWire CD-R drives listed in the table below.

This update requires Mac OS X 10.1.5 or later. To update to the latest version of Mac OS X, open System Preferences, choose Software Update from the View menu, then click Update Now. In the Software Update window, click the checkbox to select the items you want to install, then click Install. Type an administrator name and password. This update works with all computers that have built-in USB or built-in FireWire. ports.
CD-R drive manufacturers often use different drive mechanisms in the same CD-R drive. The drive models and mechanisms listed above are the only combinations tested and approved by Apple.
