Keynote 1.0: Slides Play Slowly When "Scale slides up to fit monitor" Option Is On

Symptom

Slides play slowly after you turn on the "Scale slides up to fit monitor" option in Keynote Preferences. This seems to particularly affect slides with charts and chart builds.


Solution

1. Open Keynote.
2. Choose Keynote > Preferences.
3. Deselect the "Scale slides up to fit monitor" option.
4. Click Open Display Preferences.
5. Choose a smaller screen resolution.
