In System 7, INITs are referred to as "system extensions." The system looks
for extensions in three places when loading them at boot time:
* First, it looks in the Extensions folder (located in the System Folder).
This is the proper place to put your compatible INITs or system extensions.
* Second, it looks in the Control Panels folder (also inside the System
Folder).
* Third, it loads any extensions it finds at the root level of the
System Folder itself.
