The Sharing Setup control panel lets you set up file sharing and network
communication for your Macintosh. With this, you identify yourself and
give yourself a password for authentication when you remotely access your
Macintosh. You also name your Macintosh computer, so it can be identified
when other users want to connect to your shared resources.
How to Turn on File Sharing
---------------------------
Follow these steps:
1) Open your Control Panel folder.
2) Open Sharing Setup Control Panel.
3) Type in your name, your password, and your computer's name.
4) Click the start button for File sharing.
5) Click the start button for Program Linking if you will be using that
feature.
