The Edition Manager is a new feature in System 7 that provides the ability
to automatically update documents. New Edit menu commands let users
"Publish" data as "editions" to other documents, and "Subscribe" to
editions that remain linked to the original source document. When the
published data (the edition) is edited, the changes are copied
automatically to all its subscribers, on the same machine or across the
network.
Applications must be updated to take advantage of the Edition Manager.
