Special Features of Driver / Driver Notes:
For release NS 4.0, SCSITape is being moved from the Other category to the SCSI category.
Sun DAT drives cause other tape drives with higher SCSI ID's to not be registered. This is a hardware problem. The workaround is to place non-Sun tape drives at a lower SCSI ID than the Sun DAT drive.
Known Problems
Due to ongoing development and testing of OPENSTEP 4.0, the beta version (v3.31) of this driver will neither be tested on NEXTSTEP 3.3 nor upgraded to "Released" status.
Driver Version Notes
3.31 Corrects a problem restoring data from tapes. This problem was encountered when using /dev/rst# device nodes, where # is a number. This problem only effects tape reads, so tapes written using this driver should be correct.
