General Overview notes: This is a SCSI Tape peripheral driver. It supports most SCSI tape drives that use the generic SCSI command set for Tape Devices. A SCSI Host Adapter and associated NEXTSTEP driver are required in order to use this driver

Special Features of Driver / Driver Notes:
Sun DAT drives cause other tape drives with higher SCSI ID's to not be registered. This is a hardware problem. The workaround is to place non-Sun tape drives at a lower SCSI ID than the Sun DAT drive.

Driver Version Notes

3.31 - Corrects a problem restoring data from tapes. This problem was encountered when using /dev/rst# device nodes, where # is a number. This problem only effects tape reads, so tapes written using this driver should be correct.
4.00 - Released on OPENSTEP 4.0 User CD-ROM

* - Indicates information that is inclusive of the entire capability of this driver. Not all devices supported by this driver may include all features listed.
