Macintosh: Why It Doesn‘t Use Entire Screen?

Why is there a 10-millimeter unused border around the edge of Macintosh monitors? Why doesn't the Macintosh use its entire available screen space?
This is because of image resolution quality and aspect ratio concerns. The Macintosh screen has to have certain dimensions. If the projected image were to completely fill the screen, it would be slightly distorted, especially at the edge of the screen. Most computer displays have a mask around the border area to provide the largest and clearest usable area.
