Final Cut Pro: German Manual Contains Contradictory Field Dominance Information

The German Final Cut Pro 2.0 manual provides contradictory information about the field dominance to use for DV captured using FireWire on pages 128, 331 and 456.

Solution

• Digital Video (DV) captured using FireWire, should always have the field dominance to set to lower (even).
  Lower (even) is translated to German "gerade Zeilen".
  
  In the German manual pages 331 and 456 suggested to set the field dominance to upper (odd) which is "ungerade Zeilen" in German. The correct information is provided on page 128.
• The translation error is expected to be corrected in the next edition of the manual.
