iMovie: iMovie Unexpectedly Quits When Accessing iMovie Help

iMovie unexpectedly quits when attempting to open iMovie Help.

Products affected

• iMovie 2.x
• Roxio Toast prior to version 5.1.3

Roxio Toast installs a VideoCD plug-in which can be used with iMovie. Versions of the VideoCD plug-in prior to version 1.5 may cause iMovie to unexpectedly quit when accessing iMovie help.

• Update to Roxio Toast version 5.1.3 or greater.
  Toast v5.1.3 installs VideoCD v 1.5, which resolves this issue. Updates for Toast are available from Roxio's website
• Disable the VideoCD plug-in.
  You can also disable the Roxio VideoCD.

1. Open /Library/Quicktime

2. Remove ToastVideoCDExport.component
