iDisk: About .HSicon Files

This document discusses the .HSicon files that you see when connecting to an iDisk from a Windows-compatible computer, computers with a UNIX-style operating systems, or from the Terminal application in Mac OS X.
Important: Do not delete the .HSicon files.

There are two .HSicon files on your iDisk. They are located at the root level and in the Public folder.

The .HSicon files show the images of an iDisk or an iDisk Public folder when connected using AFP (Apple Filing Protocol) in Mac OS 9. If you delete the .HSicon file in the Public folder, it will not have the right icon when you connect to it using AFP in Mac OS 9.
