Some older DataDesk Macintosh 101 keyboards do not allow you to disable extensions under System 7 by holding down the Shift key during startup. There is no known workaround for this problem, short of temporarily replacing the DataDesk keyboard with an Apple keyboard.<BR>
<BR>
Specific compatibility issues:<BR>
<BR>
* Macintosh 101 Keyboard (Macintosh Plus) Version 1.0<BR>
Incompatible INIT - Currently won't recognize any keys pressed during startup.  Requires an upgrade to use extended part of the keyboard.<BR>
<BR>
* Macintosh 101 keyboard (ADB) Version 1.0<BR>
  No INIT is needed - Won't recognize any keys pressed during startup.  <BR>
  This keyboard is likely to be at least three years old.<BR>
<BR>
* Macintosh 101 Keyboard (ADB or Macintosh Plus) Version 1.1<BR>
  Compatible with System 7.<BR>
<BR>
* Macintosh 101e Keyboard (ADB or Macintosh Plus)<BR>
  Compatible with System 7.<BR>
<BR>
* Macintosh Switchboard (ADB or Macintosh Plus)<BR>
  Compatible with System 7.<BR>
