Symptom
Files on your iDisk appear to have filenames composed of random characters when you connect to your iDisk using Apple File Protocol (AFP).
Solution
1. If a filename appears to be composed of random characters after you copy it to your iDisk, check the original to see if it is encoded using Chinese or another character set.
2. If the file is encoded using something other than MacJapanese or MacRoman character sets, change character sets to rename the file using either the Roman or Japanese character sets.
Keep in mind that special characters in filenames can cause problems on some computers. If using the Roman alphabet, use only uppercase letters (A-Z), lowercase letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), and the underscore (_) in your filenames.
