WebObjects 5: Does Not Install on Mac OS X 10.0 Unless Logged in as root User

You must log in as the root user to install WebObjects 5 on Mac OS X.
Symptom

WebObjects 5 will not install on your Mac OS X disk.

Solution

Log in as the root user to install WebObjects 5.

Important: The root user must be enabled before you can log in this way. The root user is enabled by default in Mac OS X Server but not in Mac OS X (client). Mac OS X 10.0 (client) is compatible with WebObjects 5 Developer but not WebObjects 5 Deployment. For more information, see:

After completing this process, you should log out and log back in as your user or Admin user.
