Xserve: Server Does Not Fully Slide Into the Case

When sliding Xserve back into its case the server's chassis stops about 10 cm short with an audible metal against metal sound.

Solution

The locking mechanism has been moved to the locked position while Xserve was outside of its case (top cover).

To insert the Xserve fully into the case:

1. Turn the locking mechanism back to the unlocked position using the supplied hex key.

2. Slide Xserve into the case.
