A/UX: Log In Permissions (6/93)

I can launch a Finder session as root, but not as a normal user. When I
try to log in as a normal user, I get the message that it couldn't create
/tmp/mac32sm.208.

The /tmp directory was only writable by root. Change the permissions of
the tmp directory to 777 to log in successfully. 777 causes the directory
to have the permission of status to read, write, and execute by owner,
group, and others.
