If you connect to the iTunes Store using a dial-up connection over a phone line, music previews might sound odd or they might not play at all.
The iTunes Store rocks with a high-speed (broadband) Internet connection like DSL or cable modem. Broadband is the best way to experience the iTunes Store, but if for whatever reason you can't get a high-speed connection, there is something you can do to get the previews to play.
- Open iTunes and then go to the iTunes Preferences:
Windows: On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
Mac: From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences. - Click the Store tab at the top of the window.
- Check the "Load complete preview before playing" checkbox.
- Click OK.
- Try previewing the song again.
Because the preview will download completely, the preview should sound great when you play it.
Tip: The preview is a small segment of the song on the iTunes Store. If the preview doesn't sound right to you, even after the it loads completely, the song probably won't sound right, either.
