QuickTime 6.3 Software Update Does Not Appear in Update Window or Will Not Install

One or both of the following may occur:

• The QuickTime software update does not appear in the Software Update window.
• The alert "This disk is dimmed because the system version is not at least 10.2.3" appears when you try to use the standalone installer on a computer with Mac OS X 10.2, 10.2.1 or 10.2.2.

1. Download and install Mac OS X 10.2.3 or later. It is available from the Software Update pane of System Preferences, or from Apple Software Downloads (http://www.apple.com/swupdates/).
2. Reinstall the QuickTime 6.3 update.
