iMovie 3: Buzzing Noise During Transition Clip

Symptom

After applying a transition between a still clip and a video clip, there is a buzzing noise during the transition when you play the movie.

Solution

Download and install iMovie 3.0.3 or later. It is available from the iMovie website (http://www.apple.com/imovie/).

To resolve this issue with clips that were imported before upgrading to iMovie 3.0.3:

1. Delete the affected transition.
2. Remove the still clip adjacent to the affected transition.
3. Reimport the still clip and move it to the timeline.
4. Re-apply the transition.
