Applications
------------
Many applications that use the Communication Toolbox are available. Terminal emulator programs such as PacerTerm and VersaTerm-Pro use the Communications Toolbox. Software Ventures told us that the current MicroPhone II v3.0 doesn't support the Communications Toolbox. The future release (v4.0) will support the Communications Toolbox Connection Manager.
HyperCard
---------
For HyperCard development, APDA has the HyperCard Macintosh Communications Toolbox Toolkit v1.0b2. This toolkit contains everything you need to access the facilities of the Communications Toolbox from HyperCard. In addition to the external commands (XCMDs) and external functions (XFCNs), the toolkit provides a complete set of documentation, and the full source code for the XCMDs and XFCNs.
NOTE: This product is compatible with HyperCard 2.0, with one known exception. When you open a window, the second window can't open any larger than the first window because of the way both applications allocate memory. This is the only known incompatibility. This is a restricted product. Please call APDA for more information.
MPW
-----
MPW 3.0 and later development platforms support the Macintosh Communications Toolbox. MPW 3.2 supports the Macintosh Communications Toolbox interface files for System 7 and includes the Communications Tools Scripting Interfaces. You can also use third-party platforms that convert MPW interface files and object files.
