Can I print Kanji to a StyleWriter using a Macintosh Classic with 2MB or
4MB RAM, KanjiTalk system software, and a serial connection to a
StyleWriter?

Specifically:

1) Can I print Kanji and Roman characters on the StyleWriter?

2) Will the quality be bitmapped (72 dpi) or TrueType (300+ dpi)?

3) Is this possible and/or practical on a 2MB Classic?

1) Yes, you can print Kanji and Roman characters on the StyleWriter.

2) Without an outline font technology, such as Kanji TrueType, The output isn't
pretty due to bitmap fonts (Adobe's ATM-J can help improve the output).
Kanji TrueType, is also available in the U.S. through KanjiTalk authorized
dealers.

3) A Macintosh Classic with 2MB RAM is fine for the current release of
KanjiTalk, 6.0.7. However, you will need 4MB if you install Kanji
TrueType or ATM-J.

For a list of authorized KanjiTalk dealers in the U. S, search the Tech
Info Library under "KanjiTalk and dealers", or contact the Apple Dealer
Location Operator at 800-538-9696.
